My Story
I started using Flash with Flash version three when I was studying computer animation and multimedia at the Art Institute of Dallas. Upon graduating, I was hired by a prominent tradeshow exhibit company (Freeman). During my time there I totally immersed myself into the job and 3D Studio Max, leaving Flash, Director and Dreamweaver behind on a shelf (for another day).
I quickly became an expert at 3D Studio Max and produced incredible designs and renderings for the tradeshow exhibit industry and later architectural renderings.
Fast forward to today. A few years ago I was hired by an eLearning company and found myself involved with Flash once again and loving it. I was immediately hooked and fell in love with the whole experience. But it was not to last. Shortly after I was hired, the company packed up and moved on to another location, leaving everyone behind. Being new to the area and not having many contacts, I continued to support my freelance clients back home and continued with my 3D work in architectural renderings and tradeshow exhibits.
My most recent job designing tradeshow exhibits was very satisfying, but that was not to last. The exhibit business is a dying business as was evidenced by my last job. I soon realized that I needed to commit myself to an industry that is growing and thriving. Going back to my roots, I decided to immerse myself in Flash and ActionScript 3.0, so I could be the expert in Flash like I was with 3D Studio Max.
Soon I will be taking the ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) exam for Flash. I will update when the time comes.
